MSM acts as an immuno-modulator, preventing the immune system from mounting dangerous autoimmune responses and is a safe and effective anti-inflammatory agent. Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a naturally occurring sulfur compound and nutritional component of many foods. At DrugNatural.com you can choose from many different products of MSM. I have taken MSM for the last 2 months and have seen improvements in the amount of joint pain I feel so much so that I am back to jogging again.
Scientific studies have confirmed that MSM is a safe and effective anti-inflammatory agent and contributes to the integrity of joint cartilage and other connective tissue. MSM has been shown to inhibit the development of abnormal antibodies to collagen, and to prevent production of rheumatoid factor and antinuclear antibodies (ANA).
It is thought that MSM inhibits inflammatory prostaglandins and leukotrienes, hormone-like substances that create inflammatory cycles in the body associated with pain production. MSM’s effects on connective tissue are also well known. Because MSM is 34% sulfur, it is likely that the integrity of connective tissue is enhanced with the use of MSM supplements.

Digestive Enzymes are made by the pancreas and are necessary for breaking down the nutrients from food. Without these enzymes, the body cannot break down the nutrients (vitamins and minerals) efficiently enough to absorb them into the body. Food that is not completely digested is associated with a number of health problems including:
- gas
- bloating
- a sense of “fullness” after eating (not related to simple over-eating)
- indigestion
- irritable bowel (constipation and/or diarrhea)
- abdominal cramps.
Similase found at DrugNatural.com is a highly concentrated plant enzyme that helps with the digestion for people that have a very diverse diet of carbs, proteins and fats. Similase is made from a vegetable or plant based enzymes and are preferred over animal based enzymes because they function in a broader bases ph range.
Other health problems also arise from incomplete digestion:
- arthritis
- chronic nasal mucous
- allergies
- joint aches and pains
- candidiasis
- high blood pressure
- decreased vitality.
Similase taken with meals assist in digestion and help correct the problems caused by incomplete breakdown of foods. When digestive enzymes are taken between meals, they have an anti-inflammatory, anti-clotting effect.

I think that one of the best products that DrugNatural.com sells is Vita-Kids chewable multiple vitamin. The kids don’t mind taking them because the have fun chewing the little bear shapes up. They provide 27 vitamins, minerals and trace element. I put my kids Vita-Kids vitamins in with their lunch and they don’t even think twice about taking them, the love the lemon lime taste. I have had my kid’s friends Mom’s call and ask what vitamins my kids are taking because their kids are telling them that they want to take vitamins at lunch like my daugher does. It is so important for growing children to take vitamins because they have positive significant effects on growing bodies. Some reasons that children should take Vita-Kids chewable vitamins:
- Kids who snub fruits and vegetables may not be getting enough vitamin C, which is important for our immune system and for the connective tissue under our skin. Vitamin C protects us from damaging free radicals and is crucial for brain function.
- The B complex vitamins have several functions, some of which are involved with carbohydrate metabolism. A child who has a high refined sugar and starch diet may deplete those important B vitamins.
- Some experts believe that minerals are depleted in our soil, and therefore much of our produce may be deficient of minerals as well. For example:
- Calcium and magnesium are important for healthy bones, nerves, and muscles.
- Zinc is important for our immune system.
- Chromium aids carbohydrate metabolism.

I was visiting with an old friend of many years the other day and she was sharing with me that she has been having anxiety attacks. She started with one a day for a while and then stated having attacks three times a day. That would have me packing for the long stay in the quiet house but long story short she is seeing a natural psychologist/physical therapist who put her on the usual vitamin regimen with one twist. The addition of an amino acid called GABA or gamma-aminobutyric acid. She could not stop talking about how much this supplement helped her to relax since its addition into her daily routine, how it had helped reduce her anxiety attacks. I had never heard of it and neither did she until she went out to buy it. Of course I turned to Drugnatural.com and low and behold they do sell it. I looked it up online and here are some of the facts that I found out about it.
GABA was discovered over 58 years ago as the most important inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. The brain must balance being excited with inhibition if not it can lead to restlessness, irritability, insomnia and even seizures. GABA is able to induce relaxation and improve sleep. Barbituartes and benzodiazepines major mode of action is to stimulate GABA receptors to signal the body to relax.

In addition to the Sleep Remedy last posted about by Sophie, I have been taking a sleep remedy from Aboca which includes multiple herbs to include valerian root, passionflower and a propietary blend of other herbs to aide with sleep and relaxa
tion. The herb is Aboca Phytosolution Sleep and Relax.
One of the best things I like about this sleep remedy, compared to other sleep remedies that I have take that contain Valerian root is, Sleep and Relax, has an aroma that is very soothing.
The directions for the sleep remedy say that one pill should be taken during the day, and then two pills should be taken at bed time.
So if the smell of Valerian root bothers you, but you like to take it to help you with sleeping, give Aboca Phytosolution Sleep & Relax a try.

Well I am spending the 4th of July here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It’s really a beautiful area, my sister-in-laws house is fabulous but the weather is hotter than hot. My brother-in-law has been suffering with chronic urinary tract infections and so we got into a little discussion about what has been going on lately and how he’s found a great supplement that has helped him tremendously called Bladder Infection #34 manufactured by Newton RX. This product is sold DrugNatural.com. He was telling me that he is doctoring for the urinary tract infections but nothing has been working so he figured that he’d try this along with the medication he’s already taking. He ran it by his doctor who said that would be fine. The supplement is a mix of different herbs which target different kidney ailments and he takes six drops twice a day. DrugNatural.com has a very informative article explaining the kidney’s and the urinary tract.

I picked up a prevention magazine while I was waiting in the doctors office for my appointment and read an article about glutathione. I had never heard of it before I read the article. It was weird because this whole week I kept hearing or seeing more information on glutathione. It is called the body’s master antioxidant, it also functions as antitoxin. It is a major defense system against illness and aging. It has the ability to boost the immune system and to fight off the damage of free radicals on the cells. DrugNatural.com offers a good product from Carlson Labs called Glutathione Booster. The best Glutathione supplements contain other nutrients and supplements that provides the proper situation for the body to absorb Glutathione into the body. There are many reasons to take glutathione because over time as your body ages its production levels decline by 8% - 12% per decade beginning at age 20. Other reasons to take Glutathione is to reduce stress on our immune system by reducing stress such as illness, infection and the environment.

Acidophilus is a general name for a group of phobiotics which contain Lactobacillus acidophilus. L. acidophilus occurs naturally in the human and animal gastrointestinal tract, mouth, and vagina. L. acidophilus also tends to consume the nutrients many other microorganisms depend on, thus out competing possibly harmful bacteria in the digestive tract. During digestion, L. acidophilus also assists in the production of niacin, folic acid, and pyridoxine. L. acidophilus can assist in separating amino acids from bile acids, which can then be recycled by the body.
Some research has indicated L. acidophilus may provide additional health benefits, including improved gastrointestinal function, a boosted immune system, and a decrease in the frequency of vaginal yeast infections. Some people report L. acidophilus provides relief from indigestion and diarrhea. Antibiotics taken orally will kill beneficial bacteria such as L. acidophilus. After a course of antibiotic therapy, patients are occasionally told to take an L. acidophilus treatment in order to recolonize the gastrointestinal tract. DrugNatural.com offers a product called HLC Probiotic Straws; the inside of the straw is lined with probiotic organisms which are consumed when the straw is used. The straws are heat sensitive so should only be used to sip cold drinks. This is a great way of taking acidophilus if you are not a fan of yogart, the typical food that is usually consumed for the benefit of acidophilus.
