Description: Joint support formula in larger equine doses and canine andfeline recommendations. This convenient formula combines two of the most importantcartilage building blocks, glucosamine and chondroitin, withmanganese ascorbate for enhanced connective tissue support.Glucosamine promotes the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, suchas chondroitin sulfate. The primary structural compound of articularcartilage, chondroitin sulfate also helps to block the activity ofdegradative enzymes. Together, glucosamine and chondroitin mayprovide synergistic support for healthy hyaluronic acid content andsynovial fluid. The trace mineral manganese plays a key role insupporting glycosaminoglycan and mucopolysaccharide productionand encourages the antioxidant activity of superoxide dismutase.Ascorbate is a vital nutrient for proper collagen formation and alsoserves as an antioxidant. In a recent study, the combination ofglucosamine HCl, chondroitin sulfate and manganese ascorbatedemonstrated the ability to promote joint function.
